Women who become societal and governmental leaders face challenges when they aspire to high level positions. This year’s panel will continue this topic, started at the 2008 festival in Duluth. This year, panelists will be looking at government, education, the church, and tribal communities.

Presenters include: Hanna Snellman, Vice Rector, Universtiy of Helsinki; Tiina Talvitie, Pastor, Agricola Lutheran Church, NYC, Ida Rukavina, Commissioner, Iron Range Resource and Rehabilitation; Audrianna Goodwin, a citizen and leader of the Red Lake Nation; Hanna Erpestad, Moderator.
